Getting a FNAL Computer Account

  1. Make sure that you first have a FNAL Visitor ID.

  2. Apply for your FNAL computer identity.
    You will get:

    1. A Fermilab email address on the Fermilab Mail Server. The Users Office and the person who processes the account requests will use your FNAL email address to send you mail. SO PLEASE SET YOUR FORWARD CORRECTLY.

    2. A kerberos principal.

    3. A Services Account for access to the service desk and other services.

  3. Apply for a FNALU account, principally to get an AFS home area.

  4. Apply for a Minos Cluster account after receiving your FNALU account.
